Dr Gerhard Swart

Dr Swart has a special interest in infectious diseases and tropical medicine and was part of the subcommittee for antimalarial treatment and malaria advisory group advising the National Health Department on malaria matters.

Extensive experience in Canada as an Emergency Room (ER) physician and general family physician also practicing obstetrics for more than 5 years.

Dr Katherine Reinecke

Dr Reinecke’s passion for rural health was realized when her husband Mark Barry, (who graduated with her) went to work at Shongwe Mission Hospital. We were there close on 10 years. There she raised their four children and in-between that, worked in the outlying clinics, the medical and paediatric wards and out patients. In White River her GP practice resonated strongly with her passion for teaching and patient-centered medicine.
